We’re fast approaching the heart of Awaken’s season, and what better time to offer our fans an awesome contest with some fantastic prizes?
What kind of prizes you ask. Well, how about our grand prize of dinner with Art the Clown actor David Howard Thornton for starters!
We’re kicking off Awaken’s 8-Days of Giveaways this Monday, October 3rd! You’ll have to venture over to our Facebook page on Monday to enter. It’ll be pretty easy to enter, so pay attention to our Facebook starting Monday.
Our 8-Days of Giveaways will feature the grand prize of dinner with Art the Clown and the Awaken crew.
That’s right! Our Grand Prize is dinner with Art the Clown actor David Howard Thornton and the #AwakenHaunt crew. You’ll get to meet and talk to one of the great horror actors in the business just as Terrifier 2 is released. Just don’t dribble your drink on him!
David is a great guy and horror fans are going to love this. And, while dinner with the Awaken crew might be viewed as a punishment, dinner with Art the Clown will more than make up for it.
So, again, here are the details, the contest will be posted Monday morning to Awaken’s Facebook page. Official rules will be posted there. We will give away one prize per day leading up to the grand prize. You must enter to win each day for that day’s prize, but we’ll make it easy.
Should you win the dinner with Art, we’ll take you and a guest to dinner somewhere in the Jackson/Lansing area (the winner will be given the location) Thursday evening, October 13th. You will need to get to the location on your own. That’s it.
If for some reason, you can’t make the trip, you may also choose to win 2 FREE VIP Tickets instead. Although, be aware, you will be ridiculed for this choice.

October 1st - Our Saturday nights are the best! Kick off the first day of October at Awaken! $25 Gen / $35 Fast Pass
October 7th-8th - Our 3rd weekend of the season and the scares are just getting started! $25 Gen / $35 Fast Pass
October 14-15th-16th - Art the Clown @ Awaken! Our Special Horror Celebrity Guest, David Howard Thornton - Art the Clown of Terrifier is here all weekend! We are super excited to have David @ Awaken. Come out, go through Awaken, meet David, get your merchandise signed and then go home and watch the newly released Terrifier 2!
A third day has been added for David’s visit. So, he will be here all 3 days this weekend…Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
October 21st-22nd-23rd - Halloween is almost upon us. Awaken is open all weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday! $25 Gen / $35 Fast Pass
October 27th - Our only Thursday opening of the season and our Special Event Blackout Night. Awaken turns off our already dim lights. You and your group will be given two small, mostly reliable flashlights to guide you through an actor filled blackout horror show... good luck! $25 Gen / $35 Fast Pass
October 28th - The end of the season nears. Awaken’s final fearful Friday. $25 Gen / $35 Fast Pass
October 29th - Our last Saturday Night of Fright!! $25 Gen / $35 Fast Pass

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, October 5th
Craig is a young boy who soon grows to a teenager. During this time, he befriends an elderly billionaire (pretty smart of Craig, right?) and helps him with some odd jobs. Before the billionaire, John Harrigan, passes away, Craig gifts him a mobile phone. After John’s death, Crai``g soon discovers that he can still communicate with him. Is this is a good or bad thing for Craig? Adapted from a Stephen King novella. Read more.
Terrifier 2, October 6th
Well, well, well, imagine that! Terrifier 2 releases one weekend before we have Art the Clown actor David Howard Thornton visiting Awaken. Imagine our shock at the timing. Of course, it’s no coincidence.
Terrifier 2 continues the vicious horror saga of Art the Clown. In this shocking chapter, Art is resurrected by an evil entity and decides to return to the town he loves to brutalize, Miles County. He’s got a couple of new targets in mind this time as he terrifies the community on Halloween night. Read more.
Hellraiser, October 7th
Hellraiser is getting a reboot with this Hulu 2022 installation. This time a young woman struggling with addiction happens upon one of the Cenobites’ puzzle boxes. She is unaware of the summoning power and the dark forces she will soon unleash. Read more.
Piggy, October 7th
We always love to check out independent or foreign horror movies as they can be just….different. Or maybe, “unexpected” is a better word. In Piggy, a film from Spain, an overweight woman (Sara) works at her family’s butcher shop. Unfortunately, she finds herself the subject of bullying from a cruel clique of local girls. When the mean girls are suddenly, brutally kidnapped in front of Sara, will Sara decide to help them? Or, will she instead protect the man who ended her torment? Read more.
