Jingle Hells This Weekend!
This Friday and Saturday @ Awaken!
Some call it “Jingle Hells”. Some call it “Krampus Christmas”. But, whichever you prefer, we call it a scary good time!
For just 2 nights, Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th, we turn Awaken Haunted Attraction into a Winter Wonderland filled with magical fun for everyone….well, “magical” isn’t exactly right. Unless by “magical” you mean dark, bloody and terrifying with horrific twists waiting for you around every corner. That’s what we actually create.
Tickets are available online or in person at our box office. Rumor has it that Santa himself might be making an appearance! So, don’t forget to bring your wishlist, and we really hope for your sake, you haven’t been naughty.
Art the Clown Visit Recap
Awaken Haunt was honored to have David Howard Thornton aka Art the Clown visit us this past October season. David’s appearance coincided perfectly with the release of Terrorfier 2, and our fans were super excited to meet him. We received tons of positive feedback and want to thank David again.
We’re already considering our options for next year’s celebrity appearance, so if you have any suggestions, let us know in the comments. Let’s do it again in 2023!
The Mean One, December 9
Speaking of David Howard Thornton…did you know that he’ll be playing the Grinch in the upcoming movie The Mean One?
In this version of the classic tale, little Cindy has her parents murdered by a green monster in a Santa suit. Cindy vows to capture the beast. And, when bloody attacks begin again 20 years after her parents’ death, she plans on fulfilling her mission.

Horror Movie/Series Happenings
Christmas is fast approaching. That means some seasonal horror movie offerings are arriving as well. We mentioned The Mean One (above), but there are plenty more holiday horror movies around. Who can resist a little Santa themed slasher action? Here’s a look at some new holiday releases and a couple you may or may not have seen from the past.
Violent Night, Already Released December 2nd
Santa Claus is coming to town in this seasonal send up with Die Hard style. David Harbour (from Stranger Things fame) stars as a somewhat haggard Santa Claus who likes hanging out in bars and maybe having a drink or two before heading out on his annual delivery. When Santa unexpectedly drops in on a holiday home robbery, he’ll need to drop the Kris Kringle act and play the vigilante. Read More.
Christmas Bloody Christmas, December 9th
Ho! Ho! Ho! takes on a new meaning when a deadly robot Santa goes medieval in a small town…sort of a seasonal Terminator if you will. Local girl Tori just wants to have a few drinks but is quickly forced into a life or death struggle with the cyborg Santa. Billed as a “gleefully, bloody horror experience. Read more.
Anna and the Apocalypse, 2017
Our story starts with the usual zombie themed beginning…Anna wakes up to a world gone apocalyptic. Only in this version, Anna wakes up on Christmas day and so there’s a lot of fun, albeit bloody, holiday themes going on. Basically, Anna and the Apocalypse is a bloody, musical, Christmas themed version of Shaun of the Dead with plenty of original black humor included. Read more.
Krampus, 2015
A young boy becomes discouraged with Christmas due to his family’s dysfunction. As his seasonal spirit suffers a new low, he accidentally summons the demon Krampus. Now, he and his family must face the wrath of the vengeful, horned beast and desperately attempt to save themselves from a horrible fate. Read more.
