We are super excited to announce that the original Michael Myers from Halloween will be visiting Awaken this October! The always outspoken, always honest, sometimes controversial actor Tony Moran will be making his second appearance at Awaken for 3 nights only (details below). Always a crowd favorite, Awaken is thrilled for Tony’s visit and can’t wait to see you there!
Awaken’s new build projects continue and with a little over a month to go, we’re nearing completion on a ton of new stuff. We think you’re going to love the additional twists and turns and other exhibits we’ve got planned. Check out our updates below, and look for more updates as October nears.
Finally, you probably heard that our official fall schedule has been released (details below). Some special guests and fun activities will probably be added, but the dates are set. All of this an more awaits you at Awaken this year. We can’t wait to see you!
Michael Myers Live and In-Person @ Awaken!
That’s right! The original Michael Myers, actor Tony Moran, is visiting Awaken this fall for 3 nights only!
Tony will be appearing @ Awaken Friday, October 15th, Saturday October 16th and Sunday, October 17th. Bring your Michael Myers masks and other Halloween memorabilia for Tony to sign*, take some fun photos, and venture through Awaken for an incredible Halloween experience.
You must purchase a ticket to Awaken to meet Tony. Our Awaken Ambassadors will be given special exclusive early access to the meet and greet with Tony from 6-7pm while our doors will open to the general public at 7pm. Check out our Awaken Ambassador program to see how you can meet Tony early.
Some of you may remember that Tony visited Awaken for two nights back in 2017. Those were some fun and crazy days, and we expect more of the same this time around. So, if you love Awaken and love the Halloween movie franchise, you won’t want to miss this exciting weekend!
Halloween Kills opens October 15th
Coincidentally, the latest movie in the Halloween franchise, “Halloween Kills”, drops on Saturday, October 15th, the same Saturday that Tony visits Awaken. This adds an additional level of excitement to our event. Rumor has it that Tony may even make an appearance in the new movie. So, this is going to be a super thrilling for all of you Halloween fans out there!
*Tony’s standard autograph and/or photo rates will apply. We will have specifics on these charges as the dates draw closer.
Awaken’s Fall Schedule is Here!
This year’s Awaken schedule is filled with terror-iffic fun and scares. It’s sure to be an awesome time, beginning with our Behind the Screams event on Saturday, September 25th (details below). The season runs through the last Saturday of October (Devil’s Night) and we will be closed for Halloween. That leaves plenty of time for you and your group to get your fright on this year. For our part, we promise to be bigger, scarier and more fun than ever!
Here’s the full schedule breakdown:
September 25th - One Night Only! Join us for a night of scares, stares and secrets. An exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Awaken. No actors as you will be guided through Awaken's horror movie quality sets by the creators of Awaken. Ambassadors get early access and FREE admission to this event! $15!
October 1st - Opening Night! Kick off the 2021 season with a discount. General Admission Tickets only $22!
October 2nd - Special early season discounted rate. General Admission Tickets only $22!
October 8-9th - Our 2nd weekend of the season and our scares are just getting started!
October 15-17th - Our special horror celebrity guest Tony Moran, the original Michael Myers from Halloween is here all weekend! Special Ambassador only pre-opening meet and greet. You must purchase a ticket to Awaken to meet Tony. Awaken is now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
October 22-24th - Halloween is almost upon us. Awaken is open all weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
October 28th - Our only Thursday opening of the season and only Blackout Night. You will be given two small, somewhat reliable flashlights per group to guide yourself through an actor filled blackout horror show... good luck! We are just 3 days from Halloween!
October 29th - Awaken's final fearful Friday.
October 30th - Devil's Night, and the final night of the Awaken season. Come out one last time for fun and scares!
October 31st - Closed for Halloween.
Behind The Screams, Saturday September 25th
We’re super excited to bring back our “Behind the Screams” event this year! It’s been 5 years since our last. Announced in our most recent newsletter, our “Behind the Screams” night is truly one-of-a-kind. We hope you can make it!
As we mentioned, guests will be allowed access to rooms and close-ups of props that make Awaken the scariest haunt in Michigan. In addition, the designers and creative influencers behind Awaken will be available to answer your questions. At the end of the tour (if you think you can handle it), we turn the lights back off and let you go through it in the dark.
Again, this is a free event for Awaken Ambassadors and all are invited. No tickets are necessary for Ambassadors…just show up. For non-Ambassadors, space will be limited to just 50 paid guests for general admission, so we’re keeping the attendance small for everyone’s enjoyment. If you’re an Ambassador and you’ve got non-Ambassador friends who you’d like to join you, no problem. They’ll need to purchase a general admission ticket or become an ambassador, but either way, they will be allowed to attend during the Ambassador early time-slot with an Ambassador.
Awaken Build News
We’ve been hinting at the changes coming to Awaken, but here’s an inside look. We are putting a tremendous amount of effort into the front/entryway area this year. The goal is to create more fun, expedite the lines as much as possible and create some new eye candy for our guests.
But, don’t worry, we’re still planning on changes within the haunt as well. More scares, different scenes and some new twists and turns will await you. It should be an exciting year @ Awaken!
Creepcessions Gift Shop Nearly Complete!
We are really upping the presentation and merchandise available at our gift shop this year. Rebranded as “Creepsessions”, we’ve increased the size and scope so that our guests can see everything we have to offer. More T-shirts, more caps, more beanies, more haunty knick-knacks and more fun stuff will be available for you to enjoy. Is that a pinball machine I see?
Group/Corporate “Party” Room
We’re adding more fun to our lobby this off-season, and will be allowing our lobby to be rented for group events. Groups who reserve the Awaken Party Room will be able to arrive as early as 5pm. You and your friends can hang out, have it catered, play games, enjoy photo shoots, meet some characters and just have a great time before everyone enters the haunt when the doors open at 7pm.

So, this means we’ll be adding some really cool photo props, some amazing video games, some haunted style gadgets and more fun stuff. These, of course, will be available to all guests (not just groups) during our regular operating hours.
